With the final round of the Race Anywhere Porsche Cup taking place at Mount Panorama tonight, it was confirmed that there are plenty of trophies heading Prestanda NOMAD's way. Four of our drivers took part throughout the 10 round, 15 race season in the Porsche Cup 992 and ended up with the 1st, 2nd, 5th and 7th places in the AM individual championship and 1st and 2nd overall in the teams championship.
The team took a commanding 78% of the available points in the team championship to bring the title home with the "Black" cars driven by Ryan Hamilton and Jason Dilworth. That team took maximum points at 3 out of 10 rounds, meaning that in the end the win was done with a round to go.
That team championship was supplemented beautifully by the individual AM championship from Ryan Hamilton, which continues his great run of league results. His 5 wins from 15 races were supported by incredible consistency throughout the season, which in the end meant an 18 point gap to Jason Dilworth in 2nd. Daniel Gilding and Simon Underhill had much more difficult seasons, finishing in 5th and 7th respectively despite both taking multiple wins across the season.
These results come from a variety of factors, but one that absolutely cannot be ignored is the improvement that the team have found in our new engineering team, with Xavier Brien heading up those duties in this league. The work done on that side to ensure that the right preparation is in place, and then working hard during the race to look after 4 drivers at once, has been greatly appreciated and paid dividends.
Prestanda NOMAD now look forward to the Bathurst 12hr this weekend, the first round of IVRA Endurance Spring Series the weekend after, and then further challenges throughout 2022.
